Letter to Anglian Water 14.07.25

Here is the letter I sent to Anglian Water regarding water shortages in Winslow and the surrounding areas over the weekend of 12-13 July.

Over the weekend, my team and I have been in close contact with Anglian Water regarding the serious water supply issues affecting residents locally.

While we fully sympathise with how difficult it’s been for their engineers to locate and fix the problem, it’s simply not fair that so many people – particularly the vulnerable – were left without proper support or clear updates.

I want to emphasise: if you or someone you know urgently needs water, please contact Anglian Water directly ASAP.

More should have been done earlier to get water to residents and keep people informed, especially given the heat. I remain deeply concerned that some residents, particularly those without support networks, may still be without water.

We’ll keep pressing for answers and improvements, and below is the letter I sent to Anglian this morning.
